Another huge success for the Love Your Tent campaign. We ran the Respect field for the third year running - 1,000 people, and also the new Love Your Tent field - 450 people. Result - a great festival and No Tents and No rubbish left in either at midday on Monday.

See the photo to the top right - this is a panoramic view of Love Your Tent taken at 1pm on the Monday! Outstanding!

The next one down is the Respect field taken from Love Your Tent field.

The one at the bottom is taken at the same time through Love Your tent and you can just see the beginning of Purple 1 - a non Love Your Tent/Respect field!

This is a campaign that works and can and does make a difference! If your a festival that wants this result then please contact us now - and if your wanting Love Your Tent at the festival where your going and we're not then email us and then the festival organiser and pledge your support for the campaign. HERE GOES SUMMER 2014!
MAY 2014

Here goes summer 2014!
Lots has been happening behind the scenes at Love Your Tent since last season including the compilation of our survey with Buckinghamshire New University which found 60% of respondents admitted to previously discarding tents, with 36% unsure if their behaviour would ever change, and a further 35% said they would never change their behaviour. Despite this, 86% of those surveyed recognised that waste has an impact on the environment at festivals.

Campsite waste, such as tents and camping equipment, currently accounts for 86% of total music festival waste and, of that waste, 71% is said to cause lasting damage to the land.

Obviously this isn’t news to us, we know there is a huge problem which is why we’ve been working tirelessly to reduce this impact by educating audiences and working with festivals and retailers in order to drive a significant reduction in discarded waste.

ANNOUNCING THE NEW LOVE YOUR TENT CAMPFIELD
2014

We're all very excited here. We've gone live with our new Love Your Tent campsites initiative and we are at the Isle of Wight Music Festival June12th - 16th 2014.

Fed up with camping in a sea of beer cans and the usual campsite rubbish throughout the weekend? Do youlove the community vibe and think the camping experience adds to a more amazing festival experience? Do you want to make a stand against the unnecessary campsite waste left after the end of each festival?

After the amazing success of our RESPECT campfield at the Isle of Wight Festival since we launched two years ago we listened to your feedback and suggestions and ideas, and are offering a new field with the same unique vibe but with some welcome extras.

We promise to give you a dedicated beautiful field which will have hotshowers, posh flushing loos, an ethical café, free phone charging and a community of like-minded people.

You need to buy extra access tickets for this and you will also be askedto pay a tent deposit ticket per tent brought along, which will be refunded when you leave with all your belongings and tent.

You can book a space right now by visiting us at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/love-your-tent-isle-of-wight-festival-2014-tickets-9568655105

See you there
